Fresh Start Physiotherapy is constantly reviewing our response to COVID-19, in accordance with the Australian Government Department of Health mandates and guidelines from AHPRA and the Australian Physiotherapy Association, with whom we hold registration and membership.
The APA has received the following advice from the Federal Minister for Health, the Hon Greg Hunt – ALL physiotherapy businesses can continue working and are encouraged to do so.
In addition, Minister Hunt has indicated that they are now developing full telehealth options within the week for physiotherapists along with all other health and medical services. This will be part of a staged plan. “Face to face services for many remain vital so where possible, we encourage you to continue. I thank you for your courage, dedication and care”, he said.
Our Clinic at 4 Percy Jones Court, Highton is operated by one Physiotherapist. We are fortunate to have adequate space in our treatment room and rehabilitation spaces to exercise social distancing measures.
We have scheduled face to face client appointments with 30 minutes in between each consultation for cleaning all surfaces and equipment with hospital grade anti-viral and anti-bacterial solutions.
We have excellent ventilation at all times to both our rooms and waiting area with windows and doors permitting fresh air. All clients are required to use Hand Sanitiser upon entry to the clinic and there are facilities to wash hands if preferred. At this time, we ask that all clients are unaccompanied, unless you are a minor in which case, we ask that one parent or guardian is present with you.
Your health is our top priority and for those who are unwell, immune-compromised, in isolation or too apprehensive to attend an appointment at the clinic, we now have Digital TelePhysio Appointments available on your smart phone, computer or other device from the comfort of your own home.

Together, we can get through this.
